Who are We?

The Bond Foundation for Animal Welfare is a Canadian registered charity that began operation in 1997 for the purpose of reducing the over-population of dogs and cats.  Our mandate is to spay and neuter strays and abandoned animals and to educate and encourage pet owners to have their animals fixed.

Grass-Roots Shelters Supported

The Bond Foundation for Animal Welfare supports five charities that take in stray and lost animals by covering a major portion of their costs for immunizations and spaying/neutering the animals in their care.  These are “no-kill” shelters that clean, medicate and sterilize the animals and keep them until permanent homes are found.

Independent Volunteers Locate Strays

We work with independent volunteers who venture out day or night and in all weather to pick up strays in streets, campsites, barns and trailer parks.  The plight of these abandoned animals is heartbreaking.  This is where over-population is at its worst and spaying and neutering is needed most.

 Low-Cost Spaying and Neutering

We operate SPAY/CANADA, a low-cost spay/neuter program for pet owners.  Click on the SPAY/CANADA tab above for more information about this service.
